This ride out, first started in bike week. Tuesday 16th June 2009. There was 11 riders in total. Starting at the White Lion Pub. Cryers Hill, High Wycombe.
And cycling around 20 miles. We all enjoyed the ride, so decided to keep it going and meeting up at 7pm every Tuesday. And Sundays mornings
Hi, Just a short note to keep everyone informed of Tuesday night`s ride. As per usual the start was The White Lion but this time at 18.30. In attendance: Myself, Tim & Colin. The ride took the route of Hatches Lane, Bryants Bottom, Whiteleaf, Risboro and to Chinnor. Then left up on to Bledlow Ridge, left to Saunderton and then right towards Wycombe. Then left again to Naphill followed by a stop for a bite to eat at the Co-op, left to Hughenden Valley, and right at the bottom of the hill. Left at The Harrow and a return up Hatches Lane. Finish time 21.30. Unfortunately the rain showers started at Chinnor and continued to form a minor monsoon by the finish at Hatches Lane. However, the ride was an enjoyable one. I think 18.30 is a bit early myself as some find it difficult to get back from work by then. I would suggest 19.00 for the forseeable future, especially as the longest day is Tuesday 21st when we can cycle to at least 21.30 comfortably. Hope to see you all next week. Cheers, Martin.
